Registration and contest phases
The contest consists of two phases, the registration phase, for which users will register on the platform and create a virtual portfolio with a Themeboard and at least 20 to 25 micro themes, which they can modify until the end of this phase. The start and end dates of the registration phase, usually with a duration of 2 weeks, are clearly displayed on the contest’s website.
Immediately after the registration phase, the contest phase begins, when no more participants will be accepted and users will no longer be able to modify their virtual themes uploaded. The start and end dates of the contest phase, usually lasting 2 weeks, are displayed on the contest’s website.
Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Participation requirements and contest mechanics
Once the contest phase begins, the Design Wolf Studio will Create the swipe cards of all the Micro themes chosen by the contestants. At the end of the competition phase, the final Swipe cards of all the projects chosen by the contestants will be Shared as links for Polls. The platform will automatically rank the performance obtained by each contestant’s virtual portfolio, taking the initial and final Swipe cards as well as the distribution of the weight of each project within the competing virtual portfolios.
Following the end of the contest phase, the performance of the competing virtual portfolios will be calculated and ranked from highest to lowest performance for the classification of the winning portfolios. A manual review phase will then begin, where the Design Wolf Council will verify that all the winners have complied with the rules and that there have been no technical errors in the data collection process carried out by the Design Wolf Studio.
Once the manual review phase has been completed, the winners of the contest will be announced on Design Wolf social networks, a countdown will then be started on the platform’s dashboard, indicating when the prizes can be claimed.
The following types of projects will not be eligible for the creation of virtual portfolios:
- Already existing work of the design professional in the media.
- Copy of any existing work in the social media or another form of marketing or media sites or anywhere which is another person’s intellectual property or license
- Previous seasons work by the design professional In addition, in order for a project to be selected, it must pass the following filters in order to ensure that creative work is not easily manipulated:
- The Files must be submitted in raw form with all layers accessible for the Design Wolf council to review
- A PDF version of the art form for evaluation.
- Design Wolf has rights to use the creative material of the contest for any of its marketing and design development use for its clients with due credits given to the artist/contestant.
Furthermore, there are projects where several versions of their work coexist on the market, where it is clearly stated by the project that the valid version is the most recent one. If contestants choose an obsolete version of the themeboard, either by mistake or intentionally, at the end of the contest, during the manual review phase, the Design Wolf Council will be able to change the obsolete Themeboard for the latest valid version.
